The Wisbech Yacht Club RYA affiliated is a fairly new boating club who's members range in skill from novice to expert.

The Wisbech Yacht Club was formed in September 2006 by a group of berth holders who got together. The founding members of this were Colin Lee (Commodore) Tim Reed (Vice Commodore) Mike Foster Benstan(Ordinary Member), Clinton Dorrington (Honorary Ordinary Member), Angie Paterson (events secretary) and Mac Cotterell(Honorary Vice Commodore). Later to be joined by Steve Carpenter (Treasurer) and Alan Wass (Secretary). These members made up the first committee in 2006-2007.

Why become a member? How does this benefit me?

By joining the club you will have unrestricted access to our social activities throughout the year.

These range from boating events such as the Cruise in Company and fishing to dining. More info on this is found here. Another benefit of joining will be the EWASH feature. This will allow members to sell or swap items, which we will list on our site. More info on this can be found here. Members will also have the Newsletter sent to them via email containing information on the club. The Newsletter will be uploaded on the site under News. Benefits of the club are somewhat limited at the moment due to the club being fairly new. However we now have the Boat House which has given us official club premises: please click here to view details on this.  It is due to the Nene Waterfront Regeneration Project that we have been given the Club Room.

If you wish to become a member, please click the sidebar button link to the membership details page. This page has details of the various membership types for our club and also the application form required for membership.  If you have any further questions please contact us on our email wyc@wisbechyachtclub.co.uk.
